NEW RELEASE

VENT REVISITED RELEASED MAY 2….

MidWest Book Review: “VENT is a groundbreaking contribution to
the realm of interactive storytelling books. Unique, insightful,
cathartic, thoughtful and thought-provoking, inherently fascinating, And consistently compelling. A do-it-yourself, fill in the blank blending of the hilarious and the serious. VENT is highly recommended…also available as an ebook..”

VENT and VENT REVISITED are reader participation books that provide a unique opportunity to vent your frustrations without the fear of being interrupted. Within the story you are asked YES or NO questions that range from political and serious, to the utterly ridiculous things we overburden our minds with and keep us in a state of bewilderment and confusion. After the questions there are blanks for you to write your personal opinion without the fear of being interrupted by someone who disagrees with you.

UPDATE

Book signing in Las Cruces went well, didn’t sell enough books to move to the islands but more than one..more than one is always a minor victory…getting ready for a bar book signing tour in the area and getting Vent II released…seems life gets in the way of writing…too bad writing can’t get in the way of life…

3/4 TIME

Vent II is off to the formatter while my brain is stuck between two books…paid the government my ounce of blood…I am getting ready to try and sell sarcastic humor at a few drinking establishments in the area…might as well consume a a few cold beers while selling books…all is well on the home front …politics par usual here and around the world…if you own and island and need a gardner, dishwasher, or cook, call me…I will work cheap…

PROGRESS

2018 and started a new novel. Vent II is soon to be released, another reader participation book (sarcasm at its best.) Happy to say the first Vent was well received and was even picked up by a few mainstream book stores. Grammar Nazis Are Not Always Right, Rite, Write did make a few traditionalist squirm – one has to buck the norm every so often – i before e and all those other jokes. Finished edits on a contemporary novel I wrote in 2006 about a modern cowboy telling his life story to his horse. He believes the horse talks to him. Different to say the least but one of those deep dark novels. More later. The best to you and yours.

FINAL TOUCHES

Vent Revisited, the second Vent novel, is in its final edits and soon will go to the formatter and cover creator. Once again the reader will be able to laugh, jeer, and vent over the happenings in our mixed up modern world.

RELEASED

GRAMMAR NAZIS ARE NOT ALWAY RITE, RIGHT, WRITE has been released..the book is based on a fiction writing course I taught that goes against the grain of most things creative writing instructors hold dear. It is not a how to book – read, have a few grins, and hopefully get a few helpful tips from a guy who has been writing for 47 years.

GRAMMER NAZIS ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT

The final touches are being put on my latest book GRAMMER NAZIS ARE NOT ALWAYS CORRECT – a book based on a course I taught at a small university that goes against the grain of what most creative writing teachers preach as being the truth and nothing but the truth. If you like to think outside the box and write fiction this short book will both help and entertain you. It is not a How To book. Release date sometime within 3 months. You know how it is in this two steps forward and one step back world – now it might be two steps forward and three steps back.

UPDATE

Things have been moving along with the attempt to get VENT into independent bookstores. I have sent out and emailed press releases to 30 stores. About half have replied and nine have purchased books. Several offered consignment deals but I will not go that route – give us so much money and we will carry a few of your books. When bookstores can buy books at 50% off of cover and can return them if they do not sell I do not see what the gamble is for them. So far I placed books in Austin, Las Cruces, Albaquerque, Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder, Durango, Bisbee, and Tucson. I am about to send queries to Oregon and Washington. In a few weeks I will give the promotion a break and get back to editing the next attempt at the reading world.
